1. Very unlikely. 2X coin will not get any market adaptation. Let alone become the main chain.  It'll be treated just like another altcoin, people only spending it once to send those free 2X coin to exchange and trade them to real Bitcoin.

2. Non forked, original chain of Bitcoin blockchain will still be the main chain in the future. 2X coin will become what BCC has become today, another altcoin and easy money generator.
