Let me clarify something about your second point....
Do you mean that with Bittrex, the chinese community members were not able to trade Whitecoin?
Is it because this community cannot trade on Bittrex at this time?
I know that China changed a lot of things in the last few months, but from your point,
it is as it has always been the case...

The Chinese community can trade on Bittrex but there are a few limitations they do not need at Bitshares. For one, they need to use a VPN connection to connect to Bittrex and for second they need to understand the English language.
So there really is a language barrier for some of the people there. The Chinese community made special translated howtos for Bittrex in there own language, but they still need to use a VPN.
