Ripple is certainly making waves (no pun intended) but Bitcoin reigns supreme in the cryptoverse! However, when you come across articles like this one, https://news.bitcoin.com/bernanke-eventually-governments-will-take-any-action-they-need-to-prevent-bitcoin/, about Ben Bernanke (former Federal Reserve Chairman) talking about Bitcoin not being "a real transactional currency" while praising the Ripple movement, you would think Bitcoin is going obsolete or about to take a backseat to some of these other up & coming coins. In my opinion, Bitcoin has and always will be the gold standard, so to speak, of crypto currency so you can never go wrong with holding Bitcoin as it is more likely to hold its value than any other coin.
