Hi all
I will try to answer all the questions above in within lines (in blue).
Hope this clarifies all the questions.
Cheers
Hello. I Have some questions.
There are 9-10 weeks for chips to arrive since ordering them, what would be the timeframe for the miner assembly and dispatching?.
A. From the Terms for the Miner Assembly buy posted on the 27 May news (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200067.msg2232761#msg2232761):The consignment time for the assembled miners will be of approximately 2 weeks after the chips are received.
Can 60 EUR miner fee be paid by other means apart from a bank transfer? Think about paypal, or btc-e/mtgox code?
A. As I mentioned in the News from 27 May and 30 May the responsable or contact person for the miner assembly service in Barcelona, Spain is the user nekonos. He is an Spanish Industrial Engineer with contacts in the electronic industry and have managed to put this offer for the miner together for us. He will be paying for the cost to deliver all the chips to him for assembly once they are received by me. This cost is included in the price of the miner. However, he need a batch of at least 200 miner in order to meet the target price.
At the moment he has decided to charge this fee only via a Bank Transfer because changing the BTC i.e. by MtGOX, could take several weeks to receive the fiat and all the electronic components, PCB and assembly is paid in fiat by him.
I do not think he will have problems accepting other ways of payment in fiat, for instance paypal. I would ask him to see other posibilities.I would definitely have a problem with my customs, the vat invoice you talk about is something i could use to justify the price of the miners? is a Vat invoice like a receipt?
A. Yes, this is a normal receipt or invoice and will be provided by nekonos at your request. Only for the miner assembly value. How far in the future could i pay for the miner assembly fee? how is shipping cost from miner assembly to in my case Argentina be calculated and paid?
A. From the Terms for the Miner Assembly buy posted on the 27 May news (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200067.msg2232761#msg2232761):- The AVALON Chips has to be paid immediately at the time of ordering. Due to the rather long time of delivery that some electronic components might carry, all Miner assembly order has to be paid in full within a period of 3 weeks after the chips were ordered. In the case of only miner assembly orders, the payment will be requested ASAP.
- There will be no extra charges due to sending ASIC Chips bought in this Group Buy to the Barcelona assembly facility. Buyers will be responsible for paying the delivery fees to the final destination of the miners once they have been assembled. Deliveries of chips to other assemblers other than the service sold in this group buy will be charged as mentioned in the terms and conditions 2.3 and 2.4.
Maybe you can get an estimate of fees using the DHL or Fedex website?Thank you
I'm trying to have 64 chips assembled and mining and I need to understand the cost/shipping time. This thread confuses me. I sent you a PM. Thanks.
A. I will reply to your PM as soon as I have a time. But I think many of your questions will be answered here.
Why not ask in the Thread so everybody profits from your question?
Which is why I did that. Also the post right above mine poses some of the questions I had and once it and mine are answered, I'm hoping to have a better understanding. If not, I will continue the dialogue here.
I'd also like to know why no one is here calling this a scam, like in every other thread? and why, since this is such an seemingly good deal, is there only 3 pages? I feel I'm missing something here.
A. I do not see many people calling scam the other group buys. I am using John K's escrow service and he has verified all my personal details (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200067.msg2234014#msg2234014).
I could ask nekonos to have also his details verified by John K or any other way you suggest. This is because nekonos will be the one receiving payments for the miners and not me.and why, since this is such an seemingly good deal, is there only 3 pages? I feel I'm missing something here.
This topic started a bit later compared to the other group buys... in my case I already spent all the
BTC that I wanted to spend on hardware in other group buys, if not I would have ordered here already
A. Yes, we did start late and we did not promote it until there was more information about what to actually do with the chips.I'm trying to have 64 chips assembled and mining and I need to understand the cost/shipping time. This thread confuses me. I sent you a PM. Thanks.

Could be a Scam right, but one thing is sure, the chips will be paid by the escrow and I think John. K has also the identity and adress of the Groupbuyer?
A. Yes, as menioned above, John K has verified all my documents see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200067.msg2234014#msg2234014
For the miner assembly service I could ask nekonos to has their documents also verified. Most of the Group buys doesnt even provide escrow and are by far more expensive.
A. Indeed.But you are right.
@Bizwoo
Is it possible to provide the offer you got from the Assambly company to John K. so he can confirm this?
A. I will talk to nekonos, to get his offer and docs to John K.regards
