Yeah Im storing on my ledger but get confused between whether to store in legacy or segwit. I seen the other post regarding it and it recommended store in legacy, so will give that a whirl, cross fingers and hide until its done 
I was also wondering if the segwit address would be OK for the bitcoin gold, but now it's clear that the legacy address is needed for that. Thanks for the info, I have to move some dust from the segwit address to the legacy, every penny counts
