For me the best way to make more is either by holding bitcoins for long term or investing in altcoins and making profits in short term and I believe in investing higher amount in altcoins as altcoin markets involves huge pumps and dumps and if you can advantage of those fluctuations then you can really make a good money in quick time.
Day traders are taking advantage on the price fluctuations and they also benefited in their long term investment, but as a day trader you are more focus on trading regularly and with a wide market of crypto currency in general they can easily find an asset that are more volatile.
Bitcoin is a good investment and good asset to trade but let's also consider some altcoins as they also have volume that could attract traders.
