We have to switch to the last one in order to bring the majority nodes to this version. As dev mentioned it should fix issues with synchronization and hopefully will provide a stable chain.
You could also check to be on the same high as the block explorer. The dev controls it and has all his coin on this chain, so he will never allow to the coin to move to a different chain and lose his coins
