I would suggest you to go to the coinmarketcap. Look at their top 100 coins in terms of trading volumes. If you are a beginner try to filter those expensive coins and go for somewhat cheaper ones in the range of $0.10 to $1.00. I believe there are a few gems in that list that will be going high in the next year. Take your time to read their whitepaper, roadmap, announcement thread, also join their social media rooms if necessary and find out how active the devs are. Only invest when you are comfortable. I always tell to my friends that wants a piece of crypto to do that and invest $100 in the coins they are interested in. Only you know everything about a coin and confident that you may go deeper into your pockets. My hit list would be SONM and Centra for the long term.
