See the msg I posted above a couple of hours ago. This is a known and ongoing problem with the CLAM client. Adding nodes won't help.

Your best bet is the bootstrap: https://s3.amazonaws.com/dooglus/bootstrap.dat

That will give you a head start, but the client will still have to catch up with any new blocks.
