Bitcoin splits again, creating a new cryptocurrency called bitcoin gold, question that have any future?
It's not really a split. Bitcoin Cash wasn't really a split either in the way that we think about network forks, since it was so rushed that no one really "upgraded" before the fork. It was just forked and promoted by Bitmain, who is hoping for a larger
eventual split that sees bitcoiners leaving BTC for BCH. I suspect they won't have very much luck with that.
Bitcoin Gold is even more irrelevant. It's crazy that exchanges are allowing trading for a network that doesn't even exist as far as we know. The replay protection pull request is still open! Who's paying 0.02 BTC for incomplete code on a network that didn't even launch?!
