If you plan to buy brand new parts, you may need more than $900. If you have an existing desktop try to check what you can still use with your planned rig then try to check the internet for used parts that are used but not yet abused, because some 2nd hand parts that are sold in the internet may be cheap but it wont last that long enough to reach ROI.
