I often lose my temper when altcoins drop sharply.
And in general, I sell altscoin at the bottom
I feel the same way too. Its when your ready to make a trading and wanted to sell your coin because you really needed to trade but suddenly you saw those red lines on the market, it was totally sucks. But due to a reason you really needed to trade because of emergency reasons there's nothing you can do but to make a deal with those red lines. But if there's no such valid reason to trade during those red lines I swear I wouldn't take the risk.

"But due to a reason you really needed to trade because of emergency reasons"- trading with the mindset of any emergency,  is the beginning of failure because when the market refuses to go the way a trader evisiage, it leads to impatient.

Selling while it's red is a bad move. I mostly do that before but now, instead of looking at the market dropping, I drop my phone and go out to relive the stress of seeing my portfolio drop. Recently I have sold half my coins at half of the price it currently is now because of loosing temper and because I thought it will keep droping but I was wrong. It's best to keep coins and hodl them for longterm if you want profit.

Yeah really this is the spirit to do well in trading , "instead of looking at the market dropping, I drop my phone and go out to relive the stress of seeing my portfolio drop".
I think it is nice to relieve your pain outside rather than gluing to your phone and wishing that market starts to conform immediately.
