I think 500K is OK, there will be less masternodes and price of masternode will be much higher. It is just different approach.

If the Master Nodes collateral is less, then more people will be attracted to buy.
If it is 500k, only very very few can afford it and most of the investors don't even care to look at it.

I agree 500k for a masternode will encourage anyone with less to Dump

Perhaps this is good point considering that miners will just dump coins on market. 100K or 200K should be enough for mn.

And yes majority of miners will never collect 500K, so thew will dump it.
