1.the line to add to the pivx.conf file to stop the auto zeromint is:
enablezeromint=0
2. You can quickly convert them back to pivx
.3. Good question, personally I think it's a little price to pay to have just completed one of the biggest upgrade in cryptohistory. Frankly it's just 0.01 per txs to convert to zpiv, the reverse is free. And it reduces the coin supply making
