yes, one of them was mine explaining in short condensed example of the benefit using compressed addresseswhich apparently considered as low value post deemed for deletion
Perhaps what would be a useful suggestions is making UTXO transparent to wallet users.
It would make more sense if I could see that I have UTXO of value X, then I can choose a transfer of exactly that amount.

if you use bitcoin core wallet, I don't use it so can't verify, I believe you can enable "coin control"
I'm saying this because all other altcoin wallets I use also have this "coin control" feature
with that you can just simply choose any unspent outputs you want and send them out
this feature is disable by default because it requires more depth understanding of bitcoin transaction
