Steam is accepting Bitcoin for a long time, still don't see many people buying things on there with bitcoin, just because they don't know what it is / how it works / don't have it etc.
IF Amazon decides to work with bitcoin, this doesn't HAVE TO mean that bitcoin will be all prosperous, it can be just like the steam situation. But of course, it won't be a bad thing
what do you mean "don't see"? you mean you went to Valve Headquarters or BitPay servers and checked how many people have been using bitcoin to buy things from Steam Store and saw not that many do?
have you checked out the BitPay's annual report on the growth they have been experiencing? check it out if you haven't already.
and if you had watched some of the DotA2 internationals you could have seen how many of the audience there had bitcoin sign with them
