I have around 2400$ and I have the idea to invest them by buying bitcoin. I plane for a long term investment (few months to year). Best time to buy BTC and best strategy (I heard about a hard fork will happen soon) ? Other ideas to invest this amount of money for the indicated period of time ?

Great idea. put all your money in Bitcoin and no need to wait a long time I think the end of this year you will benefit a lot.
