Yeah, btc keeps increasing while some altcoins keed decreasing. I have an investment in some altcoins and Im planning to trade it to btc when btc drop.

This is not the time to expect any profits from altcoins at all. Whatever the coin that you invested in is, its price goes up only when people invest in it.
Since the price of bitcoins is already going crazy enough and making a lot of people huge profits in a matter of minutes, no one will look for any altcoins now. You can either sell for a loss or wait until this wave is over and price kinda stabilizes.
When the profits of daily trading isn't high in btc as it's now, that's when altcoins get some attention back. Oh my god, btc just went up by another $300 ! It's totally unbelievable and I still believe it will crash a lot soon. I actually sold what I was holding (I'm not a long-term hodler) at the $6100 peak and it started going down a little bit but looks like it wasn't the end.
Bitcoin supply are 21million and were at 16+million of supply already. I think bitcoin will rally until 1st quarter of the year since more and more promising projects from ICO are born which want to compete with bitcoin. More and more people are trusting bitcoin even its volatility in the market because of its high profitability unlike in altcoin which are really dump now. Hope they will also have a pump now.
