I'm not sure if the mining is paying out now.  I did little over 300,000 hashes.  Is that enough for anything?

Should give you a few satoshi. Now the amount given should depend on btc price, so it may have lowered these days. Two weeks ago with 1 million hashes I got around 200 satoshi.

How long did it take to acquire the 1 million hashes?
If I mine with 2 threads and 30% (to not overload my cpu) i get only 3 hashes/second, so to achieve 1 million hashes it would take me 92 hours lol

Once I run my latest laptop with 100 threads and 100% and got around 80 hashes/second and left my PC running for an hour and got around 115 satoshi. PC was quite hot by then already. After that never run again because it is not worth for me. Since now prices went up so you may get even lesser satoshi for the same amount hashes mining.

That's why many people prefer to claim the faucet only instead of using the mining feature. It will be just a really bad idea to use the mining, but I wonder how many people using it because I see some people support this feature as a great feature to earn free satoshi without doing anything.

It's a nice idea about that faucet withdrawal of funds but you will be getting bored by the situations of consuming more time, and you only got few satoshi units despite how diligent you are in collecting that amount of bitcoin. Mining features using some hardware, but its costly when you are going to invest for the miners GPU computers which really costs a lot of electricity. Later on those earning free satoshi's might realize how they wasted time for it, and if ever they're not busy maybe they can manage to handle it but I don't think they will get big profit despite of longer consumed time.
