Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling. Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).
I think BTC is right now the ground truth asset, the rest are orbiting around. Rising altcoins and converting them to BTC is a sure movement right now, your gains will be low but consistent.
Maybe, the price of Bitcoin will increase until the end of this year. Now, it passed the target at $7,000 I think next target should be $10,000 for Bitcoin because $8,000 or $9,000 easily to breakout than the strong resistance price at $10,000. However, I buy altcoin instead of invest in Bitcoin again. But I do not buy altcoin still around support price, I choose some altcoins can't dump more.
