I've heard a lot of people that are saying they believe in bitcoin but are scared and doesn't have the courage to buy bitcoin. As OP posted this thread the price is still at $5,000 and look now the price was so close to $7,000 so you almost wasted a $2,000 for a while. If you still don't have the guts to buy bitcoin, how long you will watch the rally and see the price increase dramatically?
None could predict the future same goes for OP and he doesn't know that the price could drastically pumped by +$2000, kinda crazy but sometimes it looks scary as form me and maybe for other people aswell.
However, the "expensive" price of bitcoin will give bad impression to new adopters that they probably ignore the fact that bitcoin is flexible, it has decimals and smaller units.

Yes no one can predict the future of bitcoin but we can guess and speculate with basis. We are feeling scared because we are considering the current price of bitcoin as something expensive but if we will take a look of many speculations in the future this $7,000 will be even cheaper than we are saying today. What do you those people that are saying that $200 before is quite expensive and now we reached new ATH?
