there is nothing in common between Zen and Zcoin. Apart from the fact that these are two anonymous currencies. It is not the same technology, nor the same economic and community model.
Hush looks like Zencash ..
I agree, I think Zencash is the only real competitor to Hush (apart from Zcash obv). Zencash is implementing new changes like secure nodes. Hush is simply a clone of Zcash (as of now) just like Zclassic.
I don't really think it's a competition. Zen takes 8.5% of all mining for themselves and then with secure nodes coming up, even more will be taken from mining rewards, correct?
HUSH always put pride into not taking such sums out in return for a modest pre-mine and without any secure nodes to further extract money from miners, so they can't really be compared at the core.
Furthermore, HUSH wants to develop the Counterparty protocol on top of the blockchain and integrate a messaging system, all things that no other Zcash clone has planned.
