The idea sounds good, I think that some more sites like this are indeed needed.
I don't like the domain name, imho sounds newbish. Even Coin5n or similar would be better. But this is me.
The news area was attempted here and there, but either abandoned, either not enough relevant news where I've checked. Something that I'd like to see would be RSS feed with the news. That would be something I'd surely use, but I don't know what would be your site's benefit. Maybe adding the tickers too to the RSS feed too?

News is definitely very tricky. As you also experienced, I was also a bit surprised how few good sources there are for crypto news. One idea could be to include the blogs of various projects, but then it might be too technical for the general audience. Alternatively, people could submit links they like, but there's no community yet to do that, and Reddit already does that well. I've also briefly looked into something like IBM Watson Discovery News (
https://console.bluemix.net/docs/services/discovery/watson-discovery-news.html#watson-discovery-news), which aggregates hundreds of thousands of news articles every day and organizes them by topic. We'll see, sometimes it takes a few experiments to find something that works. I'll definitely set up the RSS feed, thanks for the tip.
