Actually, the return of the item isn't an independent transaction but a part of the product sale cycle. Hence, if the item is returned due to a particular reason: non-satisfactory condition or not in line with the contract specification, it's handled under the same smart-contract. And it's going to be treated by smart-contract as non-delivery. Finally, the smart-contract will end up as canceled without any crypto transfer to the seller.
Thus, the smart-contract helps to avoid any mess and secure the purchase for both parties (the seller and the buyer).

This is what i like about modultrade, on point response on queries. I see so funds gets locked during the return request, so smart contract still act on this kinds of situations.
