I believe May 1st was when avalon submitted all previous orders to fab. We are still easily within the claimed sample chip delivery window considering shipping times.from China. My personal opinion is that the chips will come quickly,  even if the samples are delayed. They are simpler to produce than the full units and chips are what the team "wants to be doing." As bad as Avalon's (non-existant) customer service is, their team has demonstrated significant skill in designing and producing fpgas and now asics. Feel free to start a speculative thread, this one should probably be reserved for orders/questions as it's getting very long.
