There are two things that is exploding:
1) Hacked accounts and thus scams and all kinds of shady activity.
2) Shitposters from various 3rd world countries.

Other than that, the forum is degenerating and is worse than most mainstream news outlets and their comment sections. The numbers that you've pointed out are actually bad.
