I had known that they won't be able to meet up with the timeline because few days to the fork, they were yet to settle the issue of replay protection which is something to have been put to rest ever since but since it has turned out this way, there is nothing stopping them from pushing the day forward rather than making people wait endlessly for the right amount of update and I think this is what they should have learnt from the BCH team because of their consistency even providers that disowned them later came on board.
