The profit you can make from bitcoin is a lot compared to other investment alternatives like stock market, forex, real estate etc. But I still think drugs and criminality in general is a lot more 'profitable' but a lot more dangerous and pretty damn illegal. So for the average Joe it makes more sense to safely purchase bitcoin in the comfort of his own home than to run his own drug cartel.
