You have to go to settings and encrypt wallet. There you will put in a very strong password. Then once you are done with that you unlock your wallet and it will start staking in about 1 minute. Once that is done you can check your weight increasing in the bottom right of the wallet by putting your mouse over the up arrow. My first payout took about 1 day, and I have got them every day. You can close your wallet and not lose any of your staking because your coins gain weight by verifying tx's and when you open it up next time it will "catch up". I usually just have mine running for part of the day or maybe even just a few hours. You can even leave it off for multiple days and you still will not lose any of your staking, but if you get your staking coins everyday they will start to compound. At 1 year you will earn 24% for staking I know it is set at 20% but if you get coins every day they will compound and you will actually earn 24% per year. Your payouts seem random so you wont be able to predict when they will happen.
