BOAT still sailing along nicely, but worried about sinking when nova shuts down. Cryptopia would be the best fit, as others have commented - but how do we go about raising funds for listing? They're basically asking for 2.5BTC for a spot on the exchange :/

2.5 BTC? That is to be honest an insane amount one could ask for when adding a coin to an exchange. How about Boat making its own trading website where one can make requests and sell BOAT also possibly offering other things like a digital marketplace?
It's quite high indeed, but the advantage you have on the long term of a steady exchange is the most important.
You can also bounce on the popularity of a prominent exchange and when you are in the plus and have a descent trading volume people will notice you though Cryptopia.
But if you want to make a real secure exchange, that's probably even more work then finding the BTC2.5 funding.
Although it's always good to put effort in new ideas and expansion.
