Are you using Ubuntu 16 ? If yes, at the wget you must use this command instead :

wget https://github.com/monacocoin-net/monacoCoin-Core/releases/download/0.12.1.5.1/monacoCoinCore-0.12.1.5.1-linux64-wallet-Ubuntu16.taz.gz

Thanks! Yes I'm using Ubuntu 16. How about after that? Since I'm total noob I'm just following the instructions step by step, but this seems to change things a bit. Would appreciate the help.
