Does actually DOGE need segwit? Transfer speed and tx cost are low already, and there is no bottleneck in the chain as far as I'm aware...
I could be wrong, but isn't that due to vastly lower usage volume than Bitcoin and Ethereum have?
Indeed it is, capacity for a standard coin will likely never hit that of bitcoin - If I remember correctly, the main capacity issue with bitcoin was caused by somebody (likely a miner) filling every block with transactions pinging between two accounts to force an increase in the tx fee, (I'll see if I can find the article).
I remember reading about people spamming the blockchain, but I always assumed it was due to all the faucet websites and micropayments. Had no idea that miners deliberately screwed with the blockchain this much too...
Mr/Mrs DOGEPRICE is a little high sometimes hahaha. Segwit was already implemented on the code IIRC, in last update this year. But not activated, just in case. *
I see there are a lot of dog lovers here? Does anyone really earn money on this coin? The schedule is very unusual, I still do not understand how to work with it?
Take a look at least to the last few pages, you'll find useful sites and info
