So guys, what do you think about McAfee prediction - will Bitcoin jump to $500 000 till August 2020?
This is little unrealistic at the moment, with this price to be in few years think that its little futuristic to be light on word. Dont get me wrong everybody would love to see this, including me, but to be real in this its quite impossible. Maybe it will be some good 5 digits price but to go on half mill this is unreal.
$500k is far too improbable for just 3 years. Maybe in 10 years if Bitcoin truly succeeds.
I think $100k is a good optimistic but still very possible target for 2020. something like '18 30k, '19 60k, '20 100k certainly seems possible.
For it to hit 500k in 2020.. bitcoin will need to hit about 50k-80k in 2018, 180k-250k in 2019 and 500k in 2020. Seems so unlikely that this will happen. But what if a few countries adopt bitcoin as the main currency in 2018 and drop the USD. There is several countries pegged or even using the USD as their official currency. We have to hit 10k+ by end 2017. So if these numbers are hit... every month from here to 2020 someone will be calling bitcoin a bubble. My opinion is that yes this is possible but unlikely. But hoping it will
I suppose it is possible, but yeah extremely unlikely.
My most optimistic prediction would be something like $40k 2018, $90k 2019, $150k 2020.
