It seems that David Silva will not be extending his current contract with Manchester City despite Pep Guardiola being keen for the Spaniard to renew, the likes of Liverpool, Inter Milan and even AC Milan are said to be interested in him but i doubt a move to domestic rivals will not be a possibility.

His contract ends on 2019, so it's really too early to speculate on what's really going on.  I mean really, what's up with that?  That came out of the blue.

But I get it, it's probably Silva's camp wanting a better contract than his current one.  He's gonna retire in a few years so he'll need more money before going out.
with current City Midfield it wouldn't hurt both sides to let silva go because any dips in performance for him means he will hit the sidelans many of other younger midfileders will be aiming to impress Guardiola  hoping to get more time on peach Kevin De Bruyne have been sensational this season also the new commer Bernardo Silva aiming to inherit David Silva place in the squad even Sterling needs more playing time he have been great despite not featuring in ll games so if Silva want to leave to keep his playing time intact City wouldn't miss him so much becaue they have the players to cover also David Silva Salary is £160,000 per week is considered high only Sergio Aguero and Yaya tore have maxed contract with £220.000 so i don't expect huge improvement for his salary unless they don't renew Yaya Toure contact who runs out this year.
Even though Kevin De Brunner is getting all the praise here, we shouldn't forget that David Silva is equally instrumental in how Manchester City are playing nowadays and by City willingness to sign him means that he is very important to the club.
