I have been mining BitcoinZ on the Miningspeed pool for four weeks now and reading this ANN since it was only on page 33. Given that perspective, I cannot help but say that the influx of new people who jump to conclusions about BitcoinZ, who ask questions already answered in the first page of this ANN and in the whitepaper, and those who attack community members with unsubstantiated claims are really not adding to the conversation. Do some research, people, and you will not only look less ignorant but you might gains some insight into what makes BitcoinZ different from other coins.
While I am on a rant, let me add that smaller mining pool operators who attack larger pools really dont get the idea of community and I frankly find the bashing of other pools to be in bad taste. While I dont personally mine BitcoinZ on Suprnova, I have no doubt that BitcoinZ would not be where it is today if a topflight leading pool like Suprnova had not supported it with a pool from early in the coins history. Suprnova adds credibility and gives the many miners who already have an account there a quick and easy path to mining a coin that almost no one had heard of just a month or so ago. They are large because they are good and have a track record.
Disagreement and robust discussion can be healthy and a diversity of opinions can be a good thing, but people who pop off without thinking or throw around unjustified accusations are undermining the community and that hurts this coins prospects. If we want BitcoinZ to succeed long term, I advise patience, reading past posts, not posting when pissed, and recognizing that things often look different form the other guys perspective.
We are all here in the hopes that we can make some money, but we dont have to make it at the expense of the other guy. There is no reason this coin cannot be a win-win for everyone involved.
