I prefer to not accuse people without proof and I don't think they would get donations If they make it open source, do you? the development for such a wallet require too much effort and resources and without a source of income (the exchanges fees from ShapeShift) they can't keep up.
I agree with OMegaStarScream although I wasnt aware Exodus was not open source,
but upon reflection it doesnt bother me
I like the wallet, it has a very attractive user panel and new currencies added regularly.
as mentioned above we can export private keys and trade coins via shapeshift internally.
