It's complicated.
CC released a commit that added checkpoints, but staking and mining can still lead to forking.
I didn't fully understand the cause of this, even though he mentioned it at some point.
He's currently working to implement a "full" fix.
Conclusion is: Wait for the fix, then you need to resync or get the bootstrap files if you have opened your wallet after Nov 1st.
