The sheet is made to fit on a 19" rack (on a "table" fixture) but I admit it is cheaper if the unit can stack naturally...however you cannot beat this design in term of air flow.
I don't think propping up a DVI->VGA adapter is in the specifications for a kill-a-watt meter 
Kill-a-watt was always showing the same thing (about 500W) so it was getting boring...found another purpose
