In this year January btc price was $800 $1,150 and now it is around $7100.Can we imagine it will increase like this year?
I cannot predict what will happen with the price of bitcoin on 2018. Because of what is happening right now with the cancellation of Segwit2x that affects the price value of bitcoin that goes down 4 percent. For sure in a few days time bitcoin will still goes up, but after all the issues of the hard fork we just don't know if they will still continue to launch the Segwit2x hard fork on the year 2018 that will also affect the value of bitcoin and brings chaos to the bitcoin community. Well let's just wait and hope for the best of bitcoin in the coming year.
