Sprouts+ is a new currency based on the Ethereum code-base that we're due to launch before Jan 1, 2018.

As a fork is required anyway, in order to fix the total supply and high POS reward of Sprouts, the Sprouts+ development team of which I am a part, has decided to release Sprouts+ using Ethereum's code-base rather than PeerCoin's as it's a newer technology and includes smart contacts which, we see as an advantage as it fulfills one of our requirements.
