A lot of people are holding their bitcoin for a long time because they know that it's profitable and they already gained a lot of profit from it. Bitcoin is a long-term investment so if you're planning to buy and sell immediately, you will not gain a lot of income from it unless you will buy a lot of bitcoin.
True, I think some of those people who knew bitcoin years ago hold their bitcoin until today and im sure they are super rich now. Im hoping I can hold my bitcoins that long as well but it really depends on the situation though. Maybe if i have a lot of money i might hold bitcoin as much as I can.
There are surely people who have hold it very long because they can live without spending their bitcoins they did this hoping that they would be rich and today they are now rich of it.
I hold it now for a few years i hope that i will keep it even more.
