Still not sure what I'm going to do about all this ASIC-ness. I need to read up more on these BFL units to see whether I want to jump on something like this.
Well, ASICs WILL become a necessity for mining at some point, because when there are a bunch of them the difficulty will explode. But right now, when there are only a few of them, they can mine at incredible speeds because they have a much faster hashrate than conventional GPUs. That's why the starting price is BTC4.5 for my auction (hopefully it will go for more), which is almost twice the price of a pre-order for one today
