So I can't for the life of me make up my own mind right now where I'm going to be putting this 9 gpu rig I'm building. I can either put this thing in my living room or my bedroom. Here are some room details that I'm weighing the pros and cons of for mining this winter.
Living room
- ~700 square feet with an attached kitchen space
- largest room in the apartment more air circulation
- 3 windows that can be opened or closed as needed
- 2 doors, front door and balcony door w/ in and out traffic
- thermostat for the whole apartment is in this room
Bedroom
- ~100 square feet
- no thermostat
- low traffic
- 1 window that can be opened or closed as needed
- poor air circulation
I'm thinking that putting the rig in the bigger room would be better from an energy standpoint during winter. There is more space to heat, more ways to get air in or out and the thermostat is there. There are several things to consider but my brain is fried at the moment and I'm very open to opinions since I'm still new to this and not all that smart to begin with.
