this is all so very familiar and sounds like penny trading only with crypto. oh gosh it is penny trading with crypto...
We called it "IPO on the Blockhain" 
it is more like stocks offering but in crypto world.... We thought it's time to issue meaningful tokens which subjected to regulations and best practices designed to protect investors. It may be a new thing, but we hope it can be a landmark event in the ICO space please get informed before saying too much, ... IPO's started in the 2011 or even sooner for some and they were the ICO of today ... they lasted untill around the start of 2015! so what your doing is absolutely nothing new! as a matter of fact its very old news!
