Most people would be looking to just lock in some profits at that point, I don't think there is anything significantly different for the average joe to realize from such an event other than their specific asset becoming worth a lot. But you never know, the power of greed may overcome a portion of folks and everyone might continue to hoard more of it as they see the price going up constantly. I would think most people would consider selling during downturns rather than selling at a high point like that.

I'll retain my position of saying that $10k by the end of the year is unlikely, but I will never say that it is impossible.
