So how many here are on the short list for Tuesday?
I figure: 10,000 chips divided by 16 per K16 Board, is 625 small boards or 156 large boards.
We don't yet know the USD they are will be asking but we should assume at least 100% mark-up on the chip price (so as to be able to buy twice as many chips) plus the cost of the board and MOB, plus the operating costs of their SMT line, plus paying themselves. So maybe the wiser here can throw some more numbers at this and come up with a guesstimate of what they need to ask for their products.
I wonder if there will be/should be a maximum # per customer per round? It would keep in the spirit of "decentralized" and "P2P" I think. I am sure that there are many here with the funds ready to buy out the lot, I would hate to see that happen. I mean we are talking about 2,820Gh/s lets not lose sight of the responsibility of such power. That is almost 2% of today's network speed.
Actually I doubt the prices will be quite that bad. They are fixing prices in USD, sure, but there's no reason to assume they're going to jack the prices too much.
for the K64 they were going 6.99BTC when BTC was ~125-130, so I'm gonna say around 950 for the K64, give or take. That's increasing the price slightly from what the conversion would have been, to compensate for the increased risk of accepting paypal and possibly dealing with chargebacks
As for how many... I'm personally betting that the site goes down in flames and the server running it is discovered to have become a puddle of molten slag on the floor lol
