I think personally that Monero will continue doing amazing things in 2018 and even beyond. Note, by amazing I do not necessarily mean it will be *used* for amazing things, considering it is mostly used on the dark web that is. Unfortunately, due to the essentially 100% anonymity for its users it has become he go-to option for shady stuff like drugs, weapons and more just like Bitcoin was when it first came out.
