Meanwhile I have been to their burn-in facility and know that it is an old, very dusty factory.
I also know that they dont need to pre-mine because they already have more hardware built sitting in warehouses than they can find datacenter space to run it in.

They can find / create datacenters if they want. And the shitty quality of S9 batches lately does pitch a bit extra for the idea that they're selling used miners after premining with them.
