10,000 is within the higher reaches of possibility, but it would take a push to make it happen before new year. Maybe lighting will help, maybe BCH will lie down. who knows.
LN will probably not be available this year. Maybe news on China relexing the ban on Bitcoin or one or two institutional investors start investing in Bitcoin would do. A 25% increase in 6 weeks is not easy but it does happen before.
10.000 is just a psychological boundary, .... what if it will be 9.800 USD on December 31? Will you be disappointed? I really don't care what the price it today or on December 31, most important for me is that I'm glad that I have Bitcoin. HODL.
Honestly, 10K is a very optimistic expectation. Given the price is at record high right now, hopefully, it will not have a dramatic drop again. Because when that happened, it may take a month or more to recover.
