I also work in the health industry and do not understand why they need to go to the FDA for approval?
FDA is food and drug administration, what does that have ANYTHING to do with healthcare security?
Now that I think about it, that's a good point. Screw the government. Just do it and ask questions later. EMR records don't need FDA approval. They just go in and do it.
